Mercato: Rafael Santos

This is more of a fart than a movement in the market; however it is news for us desperate tifosi of Bologna and therefore I report.
Bologna and Atlético Paranaense of Brasil have come to an accord over the loan of the 24 year old center back. Santos will arrive in Bologna next week on loan for 320,000 euro with the option to buy for 2.5 million euro.
Who is Rafael Santos? Well he’s Brazilian and apparently 24 years old and a defender. Let’s try and understand that a person’s nationality doesn’t effectively make a football player out of them. The verdict is out until the season commences yet you can be sure that the loan of an unknown center back from Atlético Paranaense (whom finished 13th, 12th and 13th in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A the last three seasons) falls far short of decisive.
Rezart Taci is a name, a grinning photograph, an invisible partner washing money in the shadows. The man has 22 days to impress. Don’t hold your breath.
