Mercato: Maurizio Domizzi

After a deal with Parma fell through, Udinese are looking to offload Italian defender Maurizio Domizzi elsewhere. Today he confirmed interest from former club Sampdoria as well as Bologna stating that he would be happy to play for either club, however at the moment there is no decisive movement from either side to claim him.

Domizzi would be a much welcomed reinforcement to our back line which let slip 62 goals last season.

The depressing element of this news is that this nugget of speculation is all we have to grasp as we wait for RT to spend “aggressively”. If in the next 24 days the man doesn’t make some sweeping moves, his aspirations for Europe in 4 years time as he so boldly claimed, will in reality become aspirations for survival and frankly I don’t feel my heart can take another season of clawing for the 17 spot.
