Intervallo…
By: Ben | November 12th, 200811pm on a Wednesday night, I’m full of gas and doing my best not to trumpet; especially since I live in a NYC apartment my wife is literally a stride away and such classless noises don’t bode well with an Italian woman. In fact in the six years I’ve been with her not once have I heard even a breeze pass out of her bottom; anyway if something should slip from mine, it was her who fed me the mixed beans with pancetta (and yes such deliciousness does fill my stomach every evening, the rewards of being married to an Italian).
Anyway a scrap of good news for those RossoBlu faithful (who am I kidding?), Sergio Volpi will likely make a return against Sienna however after the performance Davide Carrus (who was likened to a Hobbit on the Bologna fan-site Federossoblu as well as his diminutive opponent this past Saturday David Pizarro) Mihajlovic will have some fair bit of deliberating to do; for in his 4-5-1 formation deployed against Roma, the role of the regista (director of play i.e. Andrea Pirlo) is paramount to the midfield play and our little furry Sardinian hobbit acted as a veritable funnel.
A proper pre-game post will follow, too exhausted and full of beans at the moment, I’ve got to lie down or sit on a pillow or something. It was a long day at work and another two are to follow. Good night for now and please enjoy the RAI intermission video I’ve posted. These bits of video were aired at the end of a program as a sort of bookend to the next. Seemed fitting and a bit esoteric which I feel is nicely complimentary to this damned cold winter night.

My favorite intervalli are the incomprehensible 1960s variety show clips… Oooo, or songs from the San Remo music festival circa 1982.

The Osservatorio has been hyper-sensitive in declaring games “high risk” and therefore banning away fans this year.
It’s gotten so bad that the Lega Calcio has formally appealed for them to be more reasonable in their determinations, as it is hurting attendances and the reputation of the game in the country at large (neither of which were great to start with).

Ben, once again dude, you’re funny with the sections. I should come here more often and read up on your very provocative thought–and now I see something more–videos……
Siena is Bologna’s next opponent? Good luck on the game.

By the way, you’re a lucky prick, you have an Italian wife who cooks Italian for you on a regular basis, and you live in New York where you get to enjoy the cool weather. Its freaken 85-90 degrees here on a daily basis and I’m tired of it. I want Italian homemade food and cool weather.
More important, I also want my team(s) to win! Damm!
